Dr. Alexander M. Sailon is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Virginia Beach specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. He approaches each patient with warmth, a passion for achieving beautiful, natural results, and a profound commitment to providing exceptional care.
He sees plastic surgery as a cooperative process and is devoted to understanding your individual goals. Dr. Sailon is a native of New Jersey & New York and attended the Horace Mann School. After graduating cum laude from Georgetown University, he attended New Jersey Medical School on scholarship. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a result of his academic excellence (an award granted to the top 1/12 of the class). Dr. Sailon was inspired by the creativity and artistry involved in plastic surgery and went on to complete an integrated plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During his six years of dedicated plastic surgery training there, he had the chance to work alongside Manhattan’s top plastic surgeons in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
Upon completing his plastic surgery training, Dr. Sailon sought to pursue his dream of providing aid to children most in need. He joined Operation Smile, a well-regarded international non-profit organization headquartered in Virginia Beach. As the Hearst cleft and craniofacial fellow, he worked under the tutelage of Dr. Magee. Dr. Sailon was fortunate enough to travel extensively and successfully operate on hundreds of children while honing his skill in reconstructive facial surgery.
